"Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking."

Writer's picture: Dani SauterDani Sauter

I couldn't resist naming todays Saturday Street Style post after a famous Miranda Priestly quote from Devil Wears Prada. Anyone who is anyone obviously thinks of flowers when they talk about Spring. Well call me 'basic' but for todays post I couldn't resist using DC's famous Cherry Blossoms as my backdrop and inspiration for this Spring Saturday Street Style entry. While my normal uniform is #allblackeverything, I wanted to branch out to blossoming (you see what I did there?) spring colors to welcome the gorgeous weather.

A few Saturday Street Style posts ago I said that there was nothing prettier than DC under freshly fallen snow. I now retract that statement because there is nothing prettier than DC in the Spring. For real. Maybe I should rephrase this to say that there's nothing prettier than DC, period. While our Winter is extreme, its enchanting; our Spring pollen-filled, but blossoming; our Summer humid, but glowing; and our Fall crisp, and luminous. In short, what I'm trying to say point blank is, DC is one helluva place and I love this city.
