Restaurant Review
Overall Rating: A
Price (per person): $15-30
Location: H Street NE, DC
Good for: Couples and Groups
I recently came across IMM on H when I was with some of my blogger girlfriends on H Street and we were looking for a late lunch. We decided to try IMM since we saw it was a Thai restaurant, but none of us had heard of it before. Upon entrance into the restaurant, a very friendly waitress greeted us and provided us with a table and menus. It wasn't until one of my friends pointed out that the restaurant was still in a "Soft Open" status, according to their menu, that we realized they were a new restaurant. This is actually IMM's second restaurant, their original location is in Annandale, VA.
Our waitress, Jan, was so friendly and had a great sense of humor and took great care of our group. She urged us to try one of their cocktails as they had just received their liquor license and were very excited about their new drink menu, but I ended up ordering Thai Iced Coffee (a must order!) and my friends ordered Thai beer and Thai Iced Tea. After Jan learned that we were bloggers, she brought one of their new cocktails out for us to taste- the Red Hale's Blue Boy- which was very good and I plan to order it next time I'm there. (I still had to drive myself home, which is why I opted for the Thai Iced Coffee, otherwise I would've been all over their drink menu!)

Food wise, IMM was definitely on point. I ordered the Kapow with tofu and it was delicious and spicy! My friends ordered the pineapple fried rice, seafood pad thai, and chicken broccoli. I didn't try their dishes, but everything looked great and they all had good things to say about their orders. The portions are also quite large- I had enough for a second meal! The presentation of the food was fun- my rice came out in the shape of a pyramid which I really enjoyed (its the little things, ya know?), and the Thai Iced Coffee and Tea came in mason jars. The décor and vibe is modern and cool- I especially loved the chandelier by the entrance and the light shades above the booths!

The prices are reasonable, making it a great option for a casual date night or dinner with friends. I highly suggest this Thai gem on H Street and can't wait to go back! If you go, ask for Jan and let her know her blogger friends sent you! For more information, check out their website.
