Looking for plans this weekend? Read on to see why you should reserve your Saturday night for the G40 Art Summit hosted by Art Whino.
On my recent trip to the National Harbor (check out the previous National Harbor Charm post), I stopped in Art Whino to check out their gallery which focuses on new art forms. I’ve been a fan of Art Whino for some time and love their mission of bringing the arts community together, especially with their opening of Blind Whino (aka the multicolored church in SW). I was impressed with all the art and a lot of it looked familiar from artists I stalk on Instagram (stalking may be too light of a word in this case, lol). I started talking with one of the gallery artists and she told me about the upcoming G40 Art Summit that’s opening this Saturday, September 12 at 8pm in Art Whino’s new satellite art and event space, ‘Whino on H' located at 700 H St NE Washington, DC.

This art show will feature over 70 artists from around the world with more than 500 pieces of art on display with “Installation” as the theme. The new ‘Whino on H’ building is also going to have a mural wrap, in true fashion like their Blind Whino space. The event will have a live DJ and I’m sure will be as cool, if not cooler, than the Cherry Blast they hosted (and I attended) in March.
Interested in attending? Read more details at the Art Whino G40 Summit site and be sure to RSVP as it’s a RSVP only event. See you there!
