...And that's just what they'll do! One of these days these OTK boots are going to look real good on you!
Ok, so I changed the lyrics a little, but you get the point. Inspired by this 1966 Nancy Sinatra pop hit, I not only have a clever title for this post, but also the song looping on repeat in my head. (Someone help!! lol). All tunes aside, I really am quite obsessed with Over-The-Knee boots (aka OTK boots) this 2016. While OTK boots have been around, I only recently got my hands on a pair, where my obsession started to grow. OTK boots are a great option for these winter months not only for the warmth, but they look great with winter apparel. Whether paired with a mini skirt and sweater or leather leggings and long jacket, OTK boots add extra drama to your look- in a good way. Not to mention they're slimming, classically sexy, and glam. When I'm wearing them I have an extra boost of confidence, because I feel that great in them- especially worn with a mini skirt or dress without tights. They add a wow factor and look very fashion forward. I'd been wanting a pair of OTK boots for some time, but was having a hard time finding the right pair. Of course, I did find the right pair of OTK boots on display at the Stuart Weitzman store in Pentagon City, but they also come with a pretty hefty price tag. I also have a very common problem of the "wider calf" like a lot of other women out there, so boots can be a complete hit or miss for me. More so miss, since some boot shafts are very small. After some searching, I found a pair of OTK boots from DSW that fit my legs perfectly and are super cute! As these boots were a hit, I grabbed them and ran to the check out already thinking of this blog post.
I decided to take to the streets of Old Town Alexandria for this entry, since my husband recently procured The UPS Store franchise in Old Town, so I'm making an effort to get to know the neighborhood (keep reading for a mini review of Old Town coffee house, Killer E.S.P.). I wore my OTK boots with a mini skirt and sweater- a look I love for the small flash of legs, yet full coverage elsewhere- topped with this cranberry colored robe jacket for a pop of color. I also want to highlight the fringe purse- a total steal I found at TJ Maxx recently for a whopping $17!!!!! Want these OTK boots and $17 fringe for yourself? Check out my outfit details at the bottom of the page.

After taking the streets of Old Town for these OOTD pics, I decided to go to Killer E.S.P. for a morning pick-me-up of iced coffee and a slice of Dangerously Delicious pie! Killer E.S.P. is a coffee house I had seen in passing, but never went in. After hearing good things about it, it was on my list of Old Town businesses to try. While the elaborately decorated coffee shop was packed (it was also prime time on a Saturday morning, so of course there will be a crowd- just be forewarned!) the coffee was delish and the slice of pie was even better! I had an iced coffee which was the perfect flavor and not too strong, yet gave me a good kick, and a slice of the hot potato pie- hands down my new favorite comfort food for cold days! Check out this spot for gelato as well- its homemade in store! Also, if you're wondering about the name- it stands for Killer Espresso. Sorbet. Pie.- and trust me, its definitely killer!
