Fab Friday: Cera Wax Studio

Happy FAB(ulous) Friday, FAB friends!

Today I am so excited to share my FAB experience at Cera Wax Studio at a Blogger's Night Out last week, hosted by the FAB Angelica in the City!

With Angelica and Roxanne at the event

Cera Wax Studio is a premier waxing salon located in Bethesda, MD with their specialty solely on full body wax treatments for women and men. The studio was established by sisters Monica and Anna, who both were in attendance for the event and a pleasure to speak with. My interactions with them proved their passion truly lies in their business and within their mission for Cera Wax Studio. Their mission is to "provide customized full-service wax treatments for men and women in an environment that will make you feel confident... pampered... sexy." As part of the event, I was able to choose two wax treatments- one during the event and one for a later time. I opted for the lower leg wax treatment at the event, as I've never had my legs waxed before. I'll admit it was nearly impossible for me to not shave my legs for over a week in the dead of summer, but I managed through thanks to maxi skirts and dresses. To speed things up for my treatment, I had two waxers from the salon work on me at once- one on each leg! Both were so nice and easy to talk with and we joked about the pain that comes with waxing- a topic that helps alleviate some of the awkwardness that comes with a wax, but for this experience I didn't feel awkward at all thanks to their friendly demeanor. The waxing itself wasn't super painful, but to say it wasn't painful at all would be a lie. There were parts that made me say "Ouch!" and others that weren't as bad as I anticipated. The sides of my legs actually were the most painful (even more so than the knees!), but overall the process was quick and I liked that although both legs were being waxed at once, it sped up the process and I was able to get it over with sooner. My legs felt great after the wax, had very little irritation (I have very sensitive skin), and I'm still happy with the results over a week later. The overall experience was positive and I will totally be back again for more treatments.

The event itself, organized and hosted by Angelica in partnership with Cera Wax Studio, brought together a number of DC bloggers and creatives. I'll say this event was one of the best events I've been to so far in terms of networking and meeting new people. Everyone was friendly and inclusive and it was fantastic to meet other FAB bloggers and creatives in the area. I also want to mention that Angelica sure knows how to throw a party! There were numerous giveaways (I won the Kendra Scott giveaway!), the Cera Wax Studio swag bags were great, and Angelica made sure our champagne glasses were never empty- which is always a plus at any event!

If you are looking for a new wax studio or interested in trying a new treatment, I urge you to check out the FAB Cera Wax Studio, you will not be disappointed!

XOXO
