Well friends, its finally here- the ELOQUII first ever pop-up shop is open and ready for you! The store is located in the Pentagon City Mall across from Zara and next to Kate Spade. This weekend marks the Grand Opening weekend and there will be fun going on all weekend long. If you saw my recent post about visiting the ELOQUII headquarters while in NYC for NYFW, then you'll know I am a huge *new* fan of this brand.
To start, I love how involved they are with the community and their customers. Its not every brand that allows you to go to their HQ for a tour- not to mention with this pop-up, they are going through great lengths to meet local bloggers, new customers, and partnering with local businesses and expand their presence and meet the community. Second, the clothes really are a curve and plus woman's dream. They offer stylish, well-made items that are actually flattering, unlike many plus lines I've seen before (don't even get me started on H&M...), and all for an affordable price.
When I first met with ELOQUII, I was gifted a few items so I could try out the brand. While you've seen 2 of the items from my NYFW posts, I hadn't posted about the third yet since its more of a springtime dress. However, with global warming mixed with our early DC spring temps, I was able to rock my ELOQUII Ruffle Details Halter Neckline Dress for my shoot last weekend with my new partner blog photographer, Snapshots by Sierra.
When I chose this dress, I picked it since I a.) don't have anything like it, b.) it wasn't black and I'm trying to expand my color palette this spring and summer (lol!), and c.) it will be a perfect transitional dress for spring. When I say transitional, I mean you can wear it a number of ways! For instance- at work, top with a colorful blazer and a pair of pumps and you're set. For a day-time event/party, you can wear as-is as I did here and pair with fun shoes and a statement handbag. For a more casual daytime event/party such as a cookout, top with a oversized knit cardigan and cute pair of flat sandals! And finally, for date night, throw on a pair of ankle-strap nude or metallic heels with a clutch bag and flashy earrings!
This dress is equal parts flirty, classy, and stylish, and definitely needs a place in your closet this spring! Not to mention, it picks up wind perfectly, as I learned during this shoot, and will be a great dress to wear with the breezy spring nights that are on the horizon.
