That's a Wrap

If you ask me what clothing item I can't live without, the answer will always be a classic LBD. A LBD is a timeless staple in your closet and an addition you must add if you don't already have one. If you do already have one, I recommend adding even a few more, because 1- its good measure, and 2- for different styles.

Blonde in the District | Rachel Pally

I was recently approached by Rachel Pally for a collaboration. Rachel Pally is an American designer who is known for her "chic and class" and "easy and elegant" designs. I knew of the brand for their signature wrap and maxi dresses, as well as the fabulous prints. The clothing ranges from dresses (including bridal party options!), to tops and bottoms, and is available in straight, plus, and maternity sizing. I have been a fan of Rachel Pally for her style and aesthetic, but also the purpose of her clothes- "easy and elegant" and "chic and classic" are seriously right up my alley.

I decided to go for the Short Sleeve Cookie Dress (available in straight and plus), since as I stated above- there is no such thing as too many LBD's in my humble opinion, and I seriously love a good wrap dress due to their flattering shape on my silhouette. The great thing about well-designed and well-made wrap dresses (like the Rachel Pally brand is the fit and definition it gives your waist. I also love a v-neck for my shape as it elongates my chest and neck, and the midi hem length on this style also gives the appearance of being taller.

To show you the versatility of a classic, chic, easy, and elegant Rachel Pally wrap dress, I have styled mine for work, for day, and for play. This is also more of an investment item, meaning you need to consider cost per wear of the item, which in this case, you can wear A LOT of different ways, making the cost per wear lower and worth every cent!

For Work:

You want the dress to speak for itself here, so instead of covering with a blazer or jacket, I added a vintage Hermes scarf that was my moms, tied around the neck for an instant level of class and pop of color. This look is 100% timeless and will take you from your 9-5 seamlessly, and with a lot of compliments. Pair with classic black peep toe pumps, and for an added touch of whimsy (which I love), I rocked my new Kate Spade cat purse, to show my sense of character.

For Day:

For daytime shopping, errands, or brunch dates, pair your wrap dress with sandals or slides for a more casual appeal. A fun statement necklace is also a added plus to jazz up the look, and a tote bag is essential for all the errands and shopping.

For Play:

Let your hair lose in this LBD by letting the v-neck plunge a little deeper and adding a pair of party shoes. This look can go from Happy Hour, to a date night, or a girls dinner with ease. Swap out the cross body or tote for a small clutch, throw on a pair of statement pink shoes, and add a fun touch to your look with earrings. Here I opted for my new cat puff earrings, but tassels or chandelier earrings would also work!
