For the record, this week has been one of the hardest to cope with. Its the week back to reality after NYFW, and I have a serious fashion hangover. Going from the stylish NYC streets and energy of NYFW to the rat race of DC, my heart and mind have both been longing for the style and buzz that embodies fashion week.
Luckily, I have a light at the end of the tunnel. This Saturday I'll be walking in the Fairfax Corner Fashion NoVA event and fashion show. If that isn't a fashion blessing, I don't know what is! My mind will soon be full of style and high energy that will be sure to cure this fashion hangover.
The 5th annual Fashion NoVA event will take place at Fairfax Corner this Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 3-5pm. The event will feature a fashion show (that I'm honored to walk in!) showcasing the latest trends from Fairfax Corner boutiques, complimentary hair and beauty treatments by Red Door Spa and Bubbles Salon, personalized lip print readings by Certified Lipsologist, Ariana Snodgrass (featured on the Dr. Oz show!), cocktails and bites, exclusive shopping offers, and to top it off, the event will be emceed by local media personality Sarah Fraser!
I'm seriously so excited about this runway show and I know its going to be fabulous! A few of my favorite local area boutiques are participating, such as- Belle Mode Intimates, Chico's, CorePower Yoga, LOFT, Lou Lou Boutique, Lucy, Potomac River Running, Soft Surroundings, South Moon Under, The Nest Egg, Undeniable Boutique, and White House Black Market. The fashion show will start at 4pm!

The fashionable event is benefitting local non-profit Women Giving Back, an organization that distributes clothing to women and children in crisis. The general admission is free, but VIP tickets can be purchased for just $10 with proceeds donated to Women Giving Back. The VIP ticket includes front row seating for the fashion show, a complimentary cocktail, one week of free CorePower Yoga, and a fashion tote bag. The $10 VIP tickets can be purchased here.
In addition, volunteers will be onsite collecting gently used women's and children's clothing/accessories/jewelry in support of Women Giving Back. This is the perfect time to bring in that bag(s) of donations you've been planning to donate (am I the only one who has like 5 bags of donation items? LOL). Gifts will be given with each donation (while supplies last, one per person).
