What is the best thing to do with one of your closest friends you haven't seen in awhile? A Girls Night, of course!!! Last weekend one of my closest blog friends, Roxanne, was in town from Chicago and we celebrated a very fabulous Friday night at the brand new WhyHotel in NoMa!

The WhyHotel is a luxury pop-up hotel, located in the 100K Apartment Building in NoMa, and just opened for business last Friday, October 19. Roxanne and I were lucky enough to stay with the hotel on opening night and we had a fabulous time! The pop-up is located in a luxury apartment building, with 95 of the units available for rental, similar to a hotel, but with the comfort and feel of your own apartment.

We stayed in a luxury two bed/two bath unit that was brand new, decorated perfectly, and super spacious- it seriously felt like we were staying in one of our apartments! The hotel offers complete amenities like a full kitchen, washer and dryer, WiFi, a fitness center, balconies, onsite parking, and even better- pets are welcome (associated fees may be required)!. I loved the vibe of the pop-up and it was great for our girls night! Another perk of the WhyHotel is the Why Lounge, which offers complimentary nitro cold brew, beer, wine, and snacks 24/7!

What I like most about the pop-up hotel concept, is the feeling of actually living in the neighborhood. When I travel, I like to experience each city like a local, and sometimes its hard to feel "local" while staying in a hotel. Even as someone who lives in the DC area, it was really cool to stay in NoMa and see what it would be like to live in the neighborhood! I think the concept is really unique and it made for a great girls night, as we could actually use the amenities like the kitchen and living area as if it was our own apartment! Our photo concept during our stay with WhyHotel was an over the top "Girls Night In" celebrating the win of hitting the jackpot in a penny slot machine at a nearby casino. Hey, if you can't be extra with your closest friends in a fabulous pop-up hotel, then who can you be extra with?!

As if the onsite amenities aren't enough, the WhyHotel also is partnered with other local businesses to make your stay even better! During our stay, the WhyHotel team was able to schedule us a reservation for NOCTURNE, a 15-seat speakeasy in DC, that I would have never even known about! Roxanne and I had an amazing time with the staff at NOCTURNE and had the best experience. I highly recommend visiting NOCTURNE ASAP for a immersive and unique, travel-inspired cocktail experience like no other in DC!
