While in Paris over fashion week, we dedicated our last day to exploring and taking things easy. While it was pouring rain most of the day, we still made the best of it and explored the Place des Vosges which was right next to our Airbnb rental, and also- mostly covered! The Place des Vosges (originally place Royale) is Paris's oldest planned square and was built by Henry IV in 1605-1612. To this day it is absolutely stunning with amazing architecture and serves as a meeting place for arts, food, and culture within Le Marais.
(Fun fact: when David and I went to Paris in December, he ordered his first - and last - Steak Tartare at a restaurant in Place des Vosges, LOL!)
As we did some exploring around Place des Vosges, I wore this fabulous look via Chico's which had me feeling super stylish among the rich history and culture of the square! I mixed animal prints from the Chico's spring collection with the Brigitte Animal Print Slim Ankle Pants and the Silky Soft Dotted Cheetah-Print Utility Pocket Shirt. I topped it with the Satin Utility Jacket and cute accessories which pulled everything together. What I love about this look is how everything worked together, but each item can also be worn in a number of ways on their own which is something I look for when packing for a trip! Its great to pack pieces that can be worn in numerous ways!
If you ever find yourself in Paris, I recommend carving out a morning or afternoon and exploring Place des Vosges. With cute shops, art galleries and unexpected street art, and cafes (Cafe de Royale and Carette are faves!), it is a great place to people watch and admire history!
